American Red Cross Babysitters Course (ages 11-15) (Schererville Parks and Recreation)
The Schererville Parks Dept. will be offering a fun and educational program that will teach the responsibilities and qualities of being a good babysitter. You'll learn how to make good decisions, supervise children, and adjust how to handle emergencies and much more. You must attend both classes to receive a red Cross certificate and be between the ages of 11 and 15. CPR certification is not included with this class.

This 8-week easy to learn method will have you playing songs in no time flat. It’s a great way to get introduced to the joy of music and guitar playing. You will learn fingering, chords, and timing, as well as some of your favorite songs. Students must have an acoustic or electric guitar (no amplifier).

CSRI Halloween Party (Schererville Parks and Recreation)
CSRI is a cooperative venture that provides recreational opportunities for individuals with various disabilities.
Wear your costume and bring a decorated pumpkin for an evening of Halloween fun! Participants and family members will enjoy Halloween games, music and stories around the campfire. Decorated pumpkins will be judged in the following: funniest, scariest, and most original.

This 4-week class will introduce your child to simple utensils, measuring and table manners. Children will prepare snacks and desserts designed just for kids. Children will receive their own apron to keep. All participants must be 3 before session begins.

Pilates will be offered in 6-week sessions, suitable for all levels. This mat based class will help you strengthen major muscles, improve flexibility, and focus on core strengthening. Participants will begin with basic Pilates and advance to intermediate exercises. Please bring a mat.

Pilates will be offered in 6-week sessions, suitable for all levels. This mat based class will help you strengthen major muscles, improve flexibility, and focus on core strengthening. Participants will begin with basic Pilates and advance to intermediate exercises. Please bring a mat.
Sittercize (Schererville Parks and Recreation)
This class is designed for senior citizens and those with mobility impairments. Each week will consist of seated exercises, including warm-up, cardio workout, stretching, balance exercises, and a cool down. Participantswill engage their muscles from their seats the entire time. Music from the 50's-70's will keep you motivated.

Children will love this 4-week program where they will hear their favorite stories. The Big Mouth Frog, Stone Soup, Who's in Rabbits House, and more. They will then act out the story with puppets, props or costumes. Children will also make a craft to reinforce the stories they learn. All participants must be potty trained and 4 years old before the session begins.
